Sydney's partner Sierra. She LOVED working with the older girls. She told me after practice one night that she wished it would never end!
For opening number, we had to get our own neon outfit incorporating black and white...Aunt Naomi helped us out with her sister's dance stuff and made a darling bow.
Syd's awesome dance teacher, Amy. She is amazing, organized, and teaches these girls more than dance for sure.
A darling dancer and great example...Megan
She didn't even want to touch that cast after in came off. I don't blame her.
Amy said she wanted the buns right on top of the head...Syd wondered if this was high enough?
Cute pointy chin girl!
The best piano teacher EVER! Sam scored a perfect 100 at piano festival this year. I am not sure who is responsible for ironing his shirts however....
Waiting at the starting line in the rain and cold....
Just a typical Saturday in May. Josh and I and Sam and Syd ran a 5 k
in the morning in the rain. It was really hard for Sam, and I am really
proud of him. Josh kept him going by literally pushing him and talking
about mind over body. Sam reminded me when I got tired that a strong mind makes a good runner not a strong body. He said that at the end of the race, it felt like his feet grew wings and he just flew! (Syd skipped most of the race and said she'd like to keep going at the end) Then we went to the clinic and got Syd's cast off
and took Jane to a birthday party. Next we did our best sock bun of the
season for Sydney's final recital. Such a fun Saturday!
