Patiently waiting in line to see Santa. Sam says that you can tell if he is real by feeling his beard. Notice Jane's face--this is her new picture pose!

Jane thought Santa was the chainsaw
massacre, but had no problem eating his chocolate.

This is as close as she would get, please excuse the sad hair day for mom!

Sam wouldn't look at Santa because He was
embarrassed to be sitting on his lap!

This is my sweet Sydney, take a look at her tiny Christmas dress (It really looks a lot longer when she is standing). I got home from the dentist and the girls were all dressed for the party. Josh said that Sydney got Jane and herself dressed and was very proud, but the bad news was that they were both wearing size 24 months. I had a choice, allow my nearly 5 year old to go to the Ward party in a dress that is clearly too small or shred her
confidence and pride---tiny dress won out! I have been thinking a lot about how as moms the little things we do can have a huge impact on the way our kids view themselves and the people they become. I grew up thinking that I was
beautiful and that everyone loved me. As an adult, I now realize what a special and unique gift that was. My mom is the most incredible person. She is talented, witty, confident, emotional, trustworthy, creative, and strong. I so
appreciate her example, her reactions to me, the emotions I witnessed, and the way she instilled
confidence and pride in me. Moms, be the woman you want your daughter to grow up and become, because they are watching and internalizing more than you know!
