Ode to my Daddy

This is Sam's birthday present. My mom is in Phoenix with some gal pals and my dad knew that Sam was super excited for his present, so he brought it over tonight so that Sam would have it first thing in the morning. I had to take a picture of it because it is so funny. Christmas wrap, blue painter's tape, the sheet of Potandon Produce note paper, and the word, "Bugs" in a sharpie. Priceless!
Here is my dad trying to bait the hook with a worm with my three kids anxiously looking on. My dad is such a great, patient grandpa. He constantly has more than one child on his lap or crawling all over him. He loves to babysit and take kids farming with him. He has always been very even tempered, loves a party, and loves to spoil grand kids with pop, cookies, and candy.

Jane and her papa out on Henry's Lake, where I spent many a day in the same position.

This picture I took as we waited for my mom and dad to pick us up for Island Park. The reason it is so memorable is because I have many memories waiting for dad to come home from checking water/farming so that we could leave for the cabin, St. George, or water skiing and as we sat outside in the sun, I realized that I am still waiting on him as were my girls. I will always be willing to alter my ETD for my dad because He is the life of the party, he is one of my very most favorite people, and I love him very much.

Awe. Cute. I'm jealous. What a blessing for your kids to get to grow up with such a sweet Guy around.

Oh my gosh the bugs present is priceless! That is so something your Uncle Kurt would do. In fact, it reminds me of a time he forgot to stuff my Mom's xmas sock and quickly scrambled xmas morning to put it together. Used chapstick and a half-eaten candy bar were the result...
