We Did IT!
I survived my first Triathlon! and so did my sister in law Danette who had an incredible 13 minute swim and Josh's brother Daniel and his wife Chelsea who kicked trash in the 5 K. We recruited quite the team of athletes this year for the Pocatello Tri and we had so much fun! Josh suggested we get there early to do some intimidation stretching. But seriously, it truly is a natural high. I am NOT a runner. I hate to run and honestly avoid it like the plague. The last time I ran for a significant period of time was 1996 district track and it was the 300 meter hurdles. I still believe that people who say they enjoy running are full of crap, but it feels good to do something that is hard for me. I even beat my target time by 6 minutes. I finished in 1 hr. and 39 minutes. It was fun to pass lots of people on my bike who kicked my trash on the run and my swim wasn't half bad either. I was actually just happy not to be dead last! Josh took 1st place in his age division with a time of 1 hr and 9 minutes, so I have a lot to look up to, he is my inspiration...eat your heart out Lance Armstrong!

That is too cool Amy!!! How great you could do it with family!!
Wahoo! Way to go Amy! I am so impressed and find it pretty cool that I saw you out on your bike training. :) And I know the feeling to some degree--I have been running lately and I really don't like running, but as I have done it a little more it just feels good to be conquering something that has always been so hard for me! I think it's awesome that you did this!
Go Girl. It is hard for me too. :) I am super proud of you. Does this mean one must keep running these things??? :)
Amy! That is a-maz-ING! Congrats, I love to see people accomplish their goals!
