We caught a lot of fish and Sam loved his job of cutting off the heads and tails. He also saved a few eyeballs to inspect under his microscope, which he brought with him in his backpack. You never know when you are going to need a microscope!
Henry was a little upset with the fishing. He kept saying Fish has an owie!
Pure joy in sawing off fish heads with Uncle Larry. I have always enjoyed gutting a fish myself.
Paddle boat adventures, why are Rhett and Ethan so cute and my son will not pose for me?
Still, the cups?
Grandpa's haul out of Henry's Lake...Sam could barely lift all those trout
Sam really enjoyed the canoe and was pretty good at manouvering
A lovely day on the lake.
Henry and the best grandpa EVER. Island Park is so beautiful this time of year and the trout taste great!
Goofy boys..what is better than building a fire in the woods?
back off ladies...
Cousins and buddys for life!
Sam wanted a chocolate cake with caramel frosting and vanilla filling. I burnt the caramel, so he had to have chocolate butter cream with melted chocolate on top. It was pretty good for a cabin cake
Seems like just yesterday when Sam looked like this and was making messes and flushing toys down the toilet. He is such a fun kid, and it is truly exciting to watch him grown into a young man. He loves nature, science, exploration and discovery, inventions, legos, music, and swimming. He wants to learn to play every instrument. He is taking violin this summer and is quite a natural. He shot 2 magpies right out of 2 different trees last night on the first shot each with his pellet gun. I think he may have inherited skills from Grandpa Jim. I was amazed at his shooting talent, and he said well mom, the gun has a scope!
